(Steel, MDF, Paint (white objects are a former artwork by Lea Corves)
240 x 170 x 8 cm)
The two large objects are a modified version of an earlier work by the artist Lea Corves. The work plays with its potential possibilities and identification as a functional object. Imaginary, with the turned position of the handle, the slope of the panels would change, either lifted or lowered. However, the implied functionality is denied and paradoxical as the handles cannot be turned around the objects.

The two pipe clamp parts that belong together are separated so that the intended circle remains open. The industrially manufactured product was used as a shaping tool for the plaster form.

Fragment, 2021, bronze cast, 42 x 24 x 9 cm
In the past, columns as architectural elements were mostly used for representational purposes, especially to demonstrate power and greatness. In the work, through deconstruction, functionality is negated and thus the representational aspect of the column becomes paradoxical.
The total length of Column 1 and Column 2 when extended is three metres - like the height of the room.
There and not there at the same time, 2021
By superimposing two nets, the interplay between compression and dispersion of the threads results in a motif with a moiré effect. This was printed as a silkscreen on additional nets. When hung up, the nets overlap again and new structures emerge.
